As many of you are aware, DC has many projects lined up for the future. But one that has the most speculation behind it is Matt Reeves's Batman Solo film. This film has produced so many headlines and it doesn't even have a release date yet. From Ben Affleck (Argo, Batman V. Superman: Dawn Of Justice) stepping down as director and writer of the film, to Matt Reeves (Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes, Let Me In)  stepping in as director and writer, and now news that pre-production has been pushed back to later this year! Whilst no points been properly mentioned I'm going to make a list of 5 ideas for what the plot for the new Batman film could centre around. I'm not saying that these stories MUST be in the film. Matt Reeves is a good director and story-teller, also a grown man who can make his own decisions. 2018 was a huge year for Superhero movies. With game-changing movies such as Avengers: Infinity War (2018, Joe & Anthony Russo)  breaking box office records, Sony having a surprise success with their Spider-Man properties and DC showing they're still in the game with Aquaman (2018, James Wan) . And now 2019 brings a whole new slate of movies. From Meta-reflections of the genre to major storylines coming to an end. And even some studios taking risks with their properties, which is pretty good! So here is the list of Superhero movies coming out. Ranked from what I am least excited for to what I'm most excited for. 9. Glass The first movie on this list that's scheduled to come out this year is M. With sequels to beloved films, remakes of beloved films, Spin-Offs to popular franchises and another shot at adapting video games! This is sure to be one Hell of a year! Just as a disclaimer. After the first one created a mini-empire within the Mouse-House. From merchandise to a theme park ride to mini shorts such as Frozen Fever (2015, Jennifer Lee, Chris Buck) . This movie's synopsis is that Elsa and Anna will journey beyond Arendelle. So it looks like Disney are building on the first one, which is good as the first one felt quite isolated. It's safe to say that 2018 has been a good year for Spider-Man. Like a really good year! He was in Avengers: Infinity war (2018, Joe & Anthony Russo)  he had a very popular video game released on the PS4 and now he has his own animated movie. But it's also been a good year for Miles Morales, who featured in the video game and is the main character of this animated movie. With Phil Lord and Christopher Miller (The Lego Movie, 21 Jump Street)  at the helm, this should be an interesting take on the character! But will mainstream audiences be open to this different version of Spider-Man? And will audiences pay to see it as an animated movie? After starring in Justice League (2017, Zack Snyder/Joss Whedon)  over a year ago, Aquaman (Jason Momoa)  is finally getting his solo movie. Many audiences seem disconcerted with this movie, due to DC's shaky track record with critics, but with director James Wan (Furious 7, The Conjuring) at the helm things could turn around for the struggling movie franchise. The trailers have advertised a truly engaging movie experience. So it's time to see if the DCEU can win back audiences that have been disillusioned by the previous movies. Initial Thoughts This movie is incredible! It's a captivating thrill ride that is one of the most faithful comic book movies I have ever seen. From the costumes to the action, this is Aquaman come to life! The action is incredible, the visuals are stunning to behold and the characters are really enjoyable to watch. Aquaman is due to hit theatres in a week. In order to celebrate its release, here is my ranking of the DCEU. The DCEU has been quite divisive with fans, with some loving it and some hating it. I find myself in the former category. I do like what the creators have done with these films (Most of the time) and I am looking forward to where the DCEU goes from here. At the moment, the DCEU has only released 5 films so this will be a ranking of them rather than a top 10 list. Just to be clear that this list is my own personal opinion and may differ from your own personal list. 5. Suicide Squad (2016, David Ayer) I'm not going to say that I hate this movie, I actually do enjoy it for what it is. However, I can't really say this is a good movie. The pacing is so fast that it's difficult to really get into the story, the dialogue is sometimes just laughable, and the action is inferior when compared to other movies in the DCEU.
