Marvel continues its saga with the latest instalment Captain Marvel (2019, Anna Boden, Ryan Fleck) . Set in the 90s, and pre-dating the first MCU movie Iron Man (2008, Jon Favreau) , the movie follows a Kree Soldier who falls to Earth and slowly discovers that she used to be human, whilst also dealing with an invasion of shape-shifting aliens called the Skrulls. This movie is the first Solo movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe that features a female lead and acts as the set-up for the character appearing in Avengers: Endgame (2019, Joe & Anthony Russo) . So there are some high expectations for this movie. After Wonder Woman (2017, Patty Jenkins)  proved how successful a female-lead Superhero movie can be, and the fact that it benefits from a highly loved cinematic franchise, hopefully, this movie can live up to those expectations.  First Thoughts Yeah, this a good movie. Photos have been posted on Twitter of Brie Larson (Room, Kong: Skull Island)  in her costume for the upcoming Marvel film, Captain Marvel (2019, Anna Boden, Ryan Fleck) . This is the first look at the Captain Marvel costume. Larson will be playing the lead character, Carol Danvers, a US Airforce pilot who gains superpowers after having her DNA fused with that of a Kree, the alien race that Ronan (Lee Pierce, Guardians Of The Galaxy)  was from. She's kinda like a mix between Supergirl and Green Lantern . The film is will have the titular character fighting against famous Marvel villains, the Skrull. Shape-shifting aliens who have been at war with the Kree for many years.  First Thoughts Yeah, I don't like this costume. It looks really uncomfortable and doesn't really look like it fits Larson.
