A Couple of days ago, former Co-Head of the DCEU Geoff Johns (Wonder Woman, Justice League) posted this image on social media. A cryptic image suggesting the setting for the upcoming Wonder Woman 2 (2019, Patty Jenkins) . After which, director Patty Jenkins (Monster, Wonder Woman) changed her Twitter background to the image. Further confirming the Look and Tone The first thing fans will notice about this is that it's quite different to the look of the first Wonder Woman film. And I believe that to be intentional. The film is now confirmed to be set in the 1980's, which was around the time of the Cold War, so this logo gives off more of a Black Ops vibe than anything else. It's also worth mentioning that 1984 was when the first Macintosh computers were released, which could explain the Computer Screen aesthetic for this logo. However, from this image, it looks like the sequel will have a darker tone compared to the original. Somewhat similar to Atomic Blonde (2017...

So the Overall Opening Weekend Box Office haul has come in for Justice League (2017)  and is, unfortunately, the lowest Opening numbers for a DCEU film. Opening at $96 Million in the U.S. $14 million short of predictions, and the first DCEU film to not gross over $100 Million in its opening weekend domestically. However, It's not a failure. These are only the domestic numbers. Globally, the film has earned $285 Million, which puts it in a good place. And, with the B+ CinemaScore, heavy praise from fans and the Thanksgiving weekend coming up Justice League  can still turn a sizeable profit. The only issue is that it wasn't as big a splash as Warner Bros. was hoping it to be.  Because of this, the company may be a bit concerned with the future of the DCEU and so, they'll have to review the entire property. Look at what's working in the films and what's not. And so I've decided to come up with a list of things that Warner Bros should look into in terms of the DC...

In 2013 DC and Zack Snyder started the DCEU with Man Of Steel (2013) . Kicking off a 3-part story arc for Superman (Henry Cavill)  and the expansion of the world of DC. Being continued with Batman V. Superman: Dawn Of Justice (2016)  and now is coming full circle with Justice League   (2017) . The DCEU has had something of a shaky existence, with critics being quite harsh on the majority of the films, and fans were divided on the quality of them. Although, with  Wonder Woman (2017)  becoming the most critically acclaimed Superhero movie, and the highest grossing Origin film of all time, it seems that DC's relationship with the critics might be changing. However, Justice League has had its fair share of drama behind the scenes, with director Zack Snyder (Watchmen, 300)  having to step down before reshoots due to an unfortunate family tragedy and Joss Whedon (Serenity, The Avengers) stepping in to finish production, it should be interesting how the two dif...

So Warner Bros. Has just dropped the latest trailer for, arguably, their biggest film of the year, Justice League (2017) . In the past week, the promo team for this film has been stepping up their game. With two sets of posters for the main team, that look fantastic, and now audiences have been treated to this new trailer. But what makes this trailer different from the others that come before it? Initial Thoughts This is a damn good trailer! It has emotion, action and great character moments! What separates this from the previous trailers is that, whilst they leaned heavily on the action and presented in a flashy, adrenaline-fueled trailer, this trailer is more of a slow burner. The DCEU continues with Wonder Woman. After the very mixed reaction to the last 3 DC movies, Warner Bros. is hoping that this is the film that'll put them back on track. But with recent shake-ups last year in the DC film division, such as fan-favourite Geoff Johns and WB Exec Jon Berg as the two heads of DC films. And director Patty Jenkins, who is new to the action blockbuster genre, helming this film. Wonder Woman hopes to be a step in the right direction to get DC back on track in terms of re-connecting with its overall fanbase. Gal Gadot/Wonder Woman Gal Gadot continues her fine work as Wonder Woman. Building on the foundation that Zack Snyder laid down in Batman V Superman  for the character, Gadot and Jenkins take her back to her more naive years. There's a definite difference in the way that Gadot portrays the character in this film, compared to how she did in BVS . On Tuesday 21st June Warner Bros. held a press junket on the set of the latest in-production DC film, Justice League. Which is currently being filmed in London. Media outlets were allowed to explore the set to see what the film would have in store. Surprisingly, whilst many producers wish to keep things under wraps, Warner Bros. released a lot of info on Justice League. From story to character profiles and even descriptions of entire scenes.
