New Gods Film Confirmed! Top 5 Story Ideas

With the recent news that Ava Duvernay (Selma, A Wrinkle In Time) has been hired to direct a DC film centring around Jack Kirby’s New Gods characters. I'm very happy that this is happening. As I've said before on this blog I think that a New Gods film is a good idea. Their lore has been alluded to quite a bit in the DCEU, but they haven’t been properly developed. So, here are my own 5 ideas for the film. Just to clarify, I’m not stating that these things must be in the film, but that they could work for the story. New Gods was written by Jack Kirby back in the 1960s and is primarily about two feuding planets that call themselves the New Gods: There's New Genesis, which is home to High-Father and is basically like Olympus, except a planet. And then there's Apokalips, which is a Hellscape and is home to the ultimate DC bad guy, Darkseid, who was teased in Justice League (2017, Zack Snyder/Joss Whedon) . So expect him to show up in this film! 1. Orion as the protag

Avengers Infinity War: Trailer Highlights

With Avengers: Infinity War (2018, Joe & Anthony Russo)  fast approaching, Marvel thought it appropriate to release the second trailer, to increase the already incredible hype over the film! It seems that Marvel is taking a similar approach to the  Infinity War publicity that Lucasfilm took with Star Wars: The Last Jedi (2017, Rian Johnson) . By keeping everything veiled in secrecy and releasing only a couple of trailers as possible, even having the second one come out so close to the theatrical release. Probably because, much like how Lucasfilm thought of The Last Jedi , Marvel knows that fans are not going to miss this film. It feels a lot more like an event than it does a cinema-going experience. First Thoughts Okay, this is a much better trailer than the first! The action and effects look incredible, the character interactions seem great and villain actually looks more threatening. This trailer gives away very little, only showing plot points that everyone already knew

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes Of Grindelwald - Trailer Highlights

The Harry Potter Franchise is one of the most iconic in modern cinema. With a global fanbase that only so very few film franchises can rival and a total of $7.7 billion made worldwide from the original 8 films. And now, Warner Bros. and author J.K Rowling are hoping to continue the success of the Wizarding World with the Fantastic Beasts films. Whilst Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them (2016, David Yates) didn't exactly hit the box office highs of its predecessors it has generated new interest in the Wizarding World, which is expected to grow with the sequel Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes Of Grindelwald (2018, David Yates) .  First Thoughts This trailer is really intriguing! It doesn't really give a lot away but gives the audience an idea of what to expect. The characters from the first film are back, and the actors seem to be in top form. But the new characters (Or new actors in some cases) also really stand out! The visuals seem to be on point, giving us new things
