Trailer Highlights- Avengers: Infinity War - Trailer #1

It's been just over 9 years since the Marvel Cinematic Universe began with Iron Man (2008, Jon Favreau) . which became both a commercial and critical success.   Since then the franchise has become an unstoppable force in the Hollywood landscape. Grossing $13.4 Billion overall at the box office. And now the event that the MCU has been building up to since The Avengers (2012, Joss Whedon)  with Avengers: Infinity War (2018, Anthony & Joe Russo) . Where all of the different corners of the MCU, from The Avengers to the Guardians Of The Galaxy and even the Sorcerors come together to take on the big bad who's been working behind the scenes all of this time, Thanos (Josh Brolin) .  First Thoughts Yeah, if you're not already hyped about Infinity War then you will be after watching this trailer. It gives everyone a good representation of what to expect. A huge threat, many heroes coming together, on a scale that we've never seen before. But it also takes time to remi

DC Going Forward Post- Justice League

So the Overall Opening Weekend Box Office haul has come in for Justice League (2017)  and is, unfortunately, the lowest Opening numbers for a DCEU film. Opening at $96 Million in the U.S. $14 million short of predictions, and the first DCEU film to not gross over $100 Million in its opening weekend domestically. However, It's not a failure. These are only the domestic numbers. Globally, the film has earned $285 Million, which puts it in a good place. And, with the B+ CinemaScore, heavy praise from fans and the Thanksgiving weekend coming up Justice League  can still turn a sizeable profit. The only issue is that it wasn't as big a splash as Warner Bros. was hoping it to be.  Because of this, the company may be a bit concerned with the future of the DCEU and so, they'll have to review the entire property. Look at what's working in the films and what's not. And so I've decided to come up with a list of things that Warner Bros should look into in terms of the DC

Justice League Non-Spoiler Review

In 2013 DC and Zack Snyder started the DCEU with Man Of Steel (2013) . Kicking off a 3-part story arc for Superman (Henry Cavill)  and the expansion of the world of DC. Being continued with Batman V. Superman: Dawn Of Justice (2016)  and now is coming full circle with Justice League   (2017) . The DCEU has had something of a shaky existence, with critics being quite harsh on the majority of the films, and fans were divided on the quality of them. Although, with  Wonder Woman (2017)  becoming the most critically acclaimed Superhero movie, and the highest grossing Origin film of all time, it seems that DC's relationship with the critics might be changing. However, Justice League has had its fair share of drama behind the scenes, with director Zack Snyder (Watchmen, 300)  having to step down before reshoots due to an unfortunate family tragedy and Joss Whedon (Serenity, The Avengers) stepping in to finish production, it should be interesting how the two different directing styles b

Jodie Whittaker's Doctor Costume revealed! - Image Analysis!

Yesterday the BBC revealed Jodie Whittaker's (Broadchurch, St. Trinian's) costume for her version of The Doctor in Doctor Who (2005- ) .  She appears to be sporting a dark-blue shirt with a rainbow stripe across it with light-blue trousers, held up by yellow suspenders, and brown boots. And to top it all off she's wearing a long, light-grey jacket.  Also to note that the TARDIS itself has changed. It appears to be sporting a darker shade of blue and with yellow mirrors, much like how it looked when Christoper Eccleston (Let Him Have it, Shallow Grave) and David Tennant (Broadchurch, Jessica Jones) . But now it appears the colours on the sign have been reversed to a black background and white writing. Personal Opinion Personally, I am not a big fan of this costume. She looks like an Extra on The Fifth Element (Luc Besson, 1997) . It looks way too flashy, way too eclectic and, frankly, this is something someone going to a music festival would be wearing. Not

Disney to buy Fox?! - Situation review

Yesterday, it was revealed that the Murdoch brothers, Heads of Fox, have been having talks with Bob Iger, Head of Disney, to sell a vast majority of their company to the Mouse House. Whilst the Murdochs will still have their Sport and News Networks it give up its entertainment division to Disney. Meaning they would have control of the Avatar franchise, they will own all aspects of the Star Wars brand and, what fans are most excited about, Fox's Marvel films. Now, there are a fair few positives and negatives to this story, should it actually happen. Which we'll be discussing right now. Marvel In the early 2000's Marvel went bankrupt and so had to sell the movie rights of most of their iconic characters to various film studios. In this deal, Fox got the rights to the X-Men, Fantastic Four and The Defenders. Now, whilst Marvel/Disney has since then regained the rights to The Defenders, which are now on Netflix, they still have yet to gain the rights to X-Men and Fa
